Project Description

Chater Station is current Central Station. When the Island line between Admiralty and Chai Wan opened in 1985, MTRC renamed Chater to Central.

Both Admiralty Station and Chater Station are located beneath the busiest streets on Hong Kong Island and alongside the foundations of some of the city’s most prestigious buildings. More than 40 years on, the stations have been further expanded to suit for the development of MTR and remain essential arteries in Hong Kong’s busy MTR.
