HSBC Main Building is a headquarter building of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. It is a landmark structure in Hong Kong located on the southern side of Statue Square near the location of the old City Hall.<\/p>\n

The headquarter building is all-steel structure stands 180m high across 52 floors, 4 of which are subterranean. The building broke many construction records and included many design innovations (a) the lifts were built with technology used in the NASA space program and were originally transparent (b) the 1 million square feet of steel \u2018skin\u2019 wrapped around the structure was the biggest cladding project ever attempted (c) the building has 62 escalators, which at the time of construction, was the most on any single site in the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>
