The Central \u2013 Wan Chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link is a 4.5km long dual three-lane trunk road with a 3.7km long tunnel which forms part of an East-West strategic route along the north shore of Hong Kong Island.<\/p>\n
Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter Section is a 750m section of the Central \u2013 Wan Chai Bypass tunnel between the ex-Wan Chai Public Cargo Working Area and the east breakwater of the Typhoon Shelter.<\/p>\n<\/div>
Scope of Works<\/span><\/p><\/h2><\/div> Construction of diaphragm walls as retaining structures for the cut and cover tunnels of Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter Section. The works also include pre-excavation ground treatment, slurry walls, and rock fissure \/ contact grouting underneath diaphragm wall toe.
